The Twelfth Conference of the Australian Early Medieval Association

21–22 April 2017 | Australian National University, Canberra

We are pleased to announce that registrations are now open and the fees for the 2017 Conference are as follows:
$75 - AEMA member (student concession)
$90 - AEMA member
$95 - non-AEMA member (student concession)
$105 - non-AEMA member

Registrations and payments for both AEMA members and non-members may be made through the Group Spaces website. We would also ask all conference presenters to select the relevant options as to any specific dietary requirements for catering purposes, their intention to attend the conference dinner, and also if they would like to receive their copy of JAEMA 2016 at the conference.

The Conference Dinner will be held on Friday 21 April, at Roti House and we would ask that all conference attendees inform the conference committee of their intention to attend the dinner by 14 April 2017.

There will be a Best Paper Prize awarded at this year's conference, the full details of which may be found here. This competition is open to all AEMA members who are either Postgraduates or Early Career Researchers. Written submission of the Best Paper Prize papers should be substantially similar to the paper to be presented at the conference in order for the committee to shortlist entries. The deadline for submissions is 7 April 2017, and all papers and enquiries should be sent to the Conference Committee. The Winner of the AEMA Best Paper Prize will receive a cash prize as well as an invitation to submit their paper to JAEMA.

A limited number of Travel Bursaries are also available to Postgraduate and Early Careeer Researchers who are also AEMA members presenting at the Conference, and all enquiries and submissions should be sent to the AEMA Secretary by 3 April 2017.
